                               RESOLUTION NO. 19702
                  
                  
                   A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE INSTALLATION OF
                   ONE THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED (1,400) FEET OF
                   EIGHT INCH (8") WATER MAIN AND SEVEN (7)
                   FIRE HYDRANTS FOR PUBLIC FIRE PROTECTION AT
                   LOCATIONS MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED
                   HEREIN, AND AUTHORIZING PAYMENT OF THE
                   TARIFF THEREFOR.
                  
                  
                                                    
                  
                  
                  
       	    	 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
       CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That the installation of 1,400 feet of
       eight inch (8") water main and seven (7) fire hydrants for public 

       fire protection be and is hereby authorized at locations 
described
       herein:
             1.	 One thousand four hundred (1,400) feet of 8" water
                 main on Memphis Drive from the intersection at Ash
                 Street, south, to the intersection at Elm Street;
           
             2.	 One (1) fire hydrant at Hamill Road, 600 feet
                 southeast of the intersection at Dupont Access
                 Road;
           
             3.	 One (1) fire hydrant at Yother Lane, 200 feet west
                 of the cul-de-sac;
           
             4.	 One (1) fire hydrant on Hixson Pike at Brookaire
                 Road;
           
             5.	 One (1) fire hydrant at Memphis Drive, 600 feet
                 south of the intersection at Ash Street;
           
             6.	 One (1) fire hydrant on Highwood Drive at Michelin
                 Lane;
           
             7.	 One (1) fire hydrant at 4630 Lake Forest Drive; and

             8.	 One (1) fire hydrant on Norcross Road at Plaza
                 Drive.
           
           
       	    	 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that payment of hydrant tariffs
       to the Hixson Utility District be and is hereby authorized.
